The Department for the Economy will be launching an open competition on 9th October 2025 to appoint up to five new members to join the Board of Invest Northern Ireland (Invest NI).

The appointments begin on 1 April 2026 and attract remuneration of £14,256 per year. The time commitment is approximately three days per month. In addition to attendance at monthly board meetings, members will attend sub-committees, ad hoc committee meetings, business case reviews and occasional evening engagements.

Invest NI particularly welcome applications from women, people under 40, people with a disability and those from minority ethnic communities as they are currently under-represented on the Board. They are operating the Guaranteed Interview Scheme for applicants with a disability.
