Businesses from across the North West came together at the Ebrington Hotel for our recent Business Supports for SMEs in the Cross-Border Region event, delivered as part of the CBPES programme.

The event brought together a range of organisations working to support businesses, employers and employees on both sides of the border, giving attendees the opportunity to hear directly about the practical help, programmes and services available to them.

We were delighted to hear from Emile Rainey, Derry Chamber & CBPES Advisor; Aisling Cartmill, Belfast Unemployed Resource Centre; Edyth Dunlop, Northern Ireland Union of Supported Employment; Grace Korbel, Local Enterprise Office Donegal; Declan Martin, Department of Social Protection; and Fionnbarr Dorrian, Department for Communities.

Attendees also had the opportunity to visit information stands from Innovate+ and Invest NI, before speaking directly with the organisations represented during the networking session.

The afternoon began with a delicious lunch at the Ebrington Hotel, providing a relaxed opportunity for businesses and support organisations from across the region to connect before the presentations began.

Thank you to all of our speakers, exhibitors and attendees for making the event such a useful and engaging session, and to Stephen Latimer for capturing the event through photography.

The event formed part of CBPES’ ongoing work to connect businesses and workers across the cross-border region with relevant employment, enterprise and business support.
