Allstate NI is proud to announce that they are working closely with their corporate partner, Women’s Aid, to prepare their team for the upcoming launch of their Safe Leave strategy. This collaboration marks a significant step towards creating a supportive and secure environment for employees who are affected by domestic abuse.

On Tuesday, 1 October, Allstate NI will officially launch the Safe Leave strategy, a comprehensive support package and workplace policy designed to offer employees the necessary time and resources to address domestic abuse situations. The initiative aligns with their commitment to prioritising employee well-being and creating a safer, more inclusive workplace.

As part of this initiative, Women’s Aid’s expert team—Sonya McMullan and Bronagh Malcomson—has designed and will facilitate training for all Allstate NI employees. This training will equip staff with the knowledge to support colleagues who may be affected by domestic abuse and ensure that everyone is informed about the new Safe Leave policies.

Extending the Support Beyond Allstate NI

To extend this important conversation across Northern Ireland’s corporate sector, Women’s Aid will host a webinar on Wednesday, 2 October. The webinar, titled “Domestic Abuse & the Workplace: Safe Leave in NI”, will provide invaluable insights and guidance for companies preparing to implement similar strategies. The event is open to all, and tickets can be accessed via Eventbrite HERE.
