The Regional Advisory Board for Dementia is inviting individuals living with dementia and carers to join the ‘Dementia: Service User & Carer Involvement Group.’
Role of the Involvement Group
The group will play a vital role in informing and influencing the decision-making of the Regional Dementia Project Board and its working groups. Members will represent people with dementia and carers by sharing their views and experiences, ensuring that lived experience helps shape dementia care and support.
About the Regional Dementia Project Board
The Board is committed to improving dementia care across the region. Current priorities include:

Ensuring timely and accurate diagnosis of dementia.

Improving access to the right support and services.

Strengthening dementia education and training.
Making a Difference
By joining, members will help shape regional plans and contribute to the development of better dementia services and supports. Every perspective shared will help ensure decisions reflect real-life needs.
What’s Involved

Meetings: Every 6 weeks, lasting no more than 60 minutes.

Location: Meetings are usually online (support available for anyone who needs help getting set up).

Additional opportunities: Members may also be invited to contribute to other groups or discussions as the project develops.

Support: Full support will be provided to ensure members feel comfortable and able to participate fully.
