Covid-19 Business Support Update 6: Navigating the Roadmap to SafeReopening
The First Minister is laying out plans for Northern Ireland to have a “road map” for moving out of lockdown .
The deputy First Minister said that “We also know that recovery will only happen one step at a time, to do otherwise risks undermining the sacrifices people have already made and increases the risk of a second spike in the future.”
We havelearned that there is a variance between the four UK jurisdictions approach as well as with the Republic of Ireland’s roadmap – so what does thismean for our member businesses in the North West? How do we go forward confidently into this next phase, keeping our staff and our customers safe?
To discuss the impact of the government statements our panel for this Thursday’s webinar includes George Fleming, Managing Director of Fleming Agri, whose essential business was initially closed and has since reopened. We will also hear from Selina Horshi, Director of the White Horse Hotel and Paul McCole, Director of city centre hospitality business, The Sandwich Company, who are both considering when and how to reopen, and what the implications are in terms of staffing and safety. The final member of our panel is Jim Roddy, Chief Executive of CCI, who will talk us through the city’s plans to reopen the city centre and what this will look like for all the businesses it hosts.
Paul Clancy, CEO, Londonderry Chamber of Commerce will moderate this session and there will be an opportunity to put your own question to the panel.
