Apprenticeship Week 2023 Kicks off 6th February!

This week we’re highlighting the fantastic events being planned by our members as part of Apprenticeship Week!

Apprenticeship Week is led by the Department for the Economy and is an annual week-long celebration which runs from 6th to 10th February 2023 and builds on the resurgence in apprenticeship numbers following the COVID-19 pandemic. It aims to raise the profile of apprenticeships across Northern Ireland by bringing together partners including local councils, employers, universities, further education colleges and private training providers.

We’re excited to be highlighting some of the upcoming events of our members that help equip the best and brightest of the North West fulfil their full potential. Apprenticeships play a vital role in the Northern Ireland economy with the North West being no exception. Below are some of the great events being planned by members of the Chamber!

The event gives technology companies a chance to showcase future career opportunities in the sector by bring together 10 companies, and leaders in the sector to discuss what the future has in store.

The event is perfect for students, parents and teachers who are interested in exploring career opportunities in manufacturing and engineering. This is a fantastic showcase of one of many brilliant Engineering and Manufacturing employers in the North West whose work with apprentices are vital to the North West economy.


North West Regional College has a huge range of events taking place during Apprentice Week. NWRC are running taster sessions in Dental Nursing, Health and Social Care, as well as try before you buy events and a coffee morning. The Apprenticeship Roadshow will also take place at Shantallow Community Centre. North West Regional College produces some of the most promising apprentices in Northern Ireland and the events at NWRC this Apprenticeship week highlight the wide range of opportunities they offer.
