It’s Good News Friday as this week we celebrate the countdown to the President’s Annual Dinner!

Polish those shoes and get the champagne on ice, because the President’s Dinner will take place in just 14 days! Kindly sponsored by Find Insurance NI, this year’s Dinner promises to be a fantastic occasion, with an exciting array of entertainment, keynote speeches and a delightful 6-course meal.

Last weekend, ahead of the Dinner, the Chamber team were delighted to take part in a charity abseil down the Tower Museum in support of Air Ambulance NI, President Dawn McLaughlin’s chosen charity for this year’s event. Members of the Chamber’s leadership team were joined by the Dinner’s main sponsors, Find Insurance NI for the daunting 100 metre challenge.

The Dinner is renowned as the premier business networking event in the North West, and is attended by business leaders and key influencers alike from across our region. This year’s event features a packed programme celebrating all that is best about doing business in the North West, and after the year everyone has had, we are thrilled to be hosting this event in-person.

Our keynote speaker is a well-known alumnus of St. Columb’s College in Derry, and is a well-known guru on all things Brexit and trade. Tony Connelly is currently Europe Editor of RTÉ and will return to his home city to share personal insights and behind-the-scenes stories with communications specialist and former BBC broadcaster Sarah Travers.

The dinner itself features a beautiful selection of the finest food the North West has to offer, with Champagne Sorbet, Slow Cooked Short Rib of Beef making up the mouthwatering menu. The night will end with live music from 9-piece jazz band Stevie and the Gees and is certain to live up to previous years’ amazing fun and craic.

We’re counting down the days until the Dinner on Friday 8 October. Like you, we can’t wait to enjoy all the festivities on offer! For those lucky enough to get a ticket to the sold-out event, we look forward to seeing you dressed in your very best in the very near future.
