It’s wonderful to be featured in the Derry News Derry Now today as part of the International Women’s Day celebrations.
I started Foyle Kumon in 2012 and it has been an absolute rewarding journey. Seeing my students get confident and independent with their work is what I aim for.
The lockdown story project was started in 2021 with an aim for children to pen down their experience on the pandemic and everything they did during the lockdown. I wanted them to share their feelings, activities, and their experiences.  As uploading these handwritten stories is a mammoth task, we haven’t uploaded all but there are still quite a few stories that can be read on https://lockdown-stories.co.uk
I strongly believe that these stories if not documented, will be lost forever.
So far I have more than 1500 handwritten stories by young children. The aim is to reach as many children as possible from all parts of the world. We all can learn so much from these stories and so will our generations to come.
Please share your lockdown story with us to help, guide and advise our future generations.
