AWARE NI is delighted to announce a new charity partnership with Click Energy, strengthening efforts to support mental health across Northern Ireland. As a Derry-based company, Click Energy is proud to back a charity that was founded in Derry/Londonderry in 1996 and continues to provide essential services to people affected by depression, anxiety, and bipolar.

Mental health challenges impact individuals, families, and workplaces across Northern Ireland. According to the latest NI Health Survey, approximately 19% of adults in Northern Ireland show signs of a potential mental health problem, with rates of anxiety and depression 25% higher than in other UK nations. With statistics like these, the need for accessible and effective support has never been greater. AWARE NI plays a critical role in addressing this need by offering peer-led Support Groups, mental health education, and resilience-building programmes in schools, workplaces, and community settings.

Through this partnership, Click Energy and their customers will raise vital funds and awareness for AWARE NI, directly contributing to the charity’s ability to sustain and expand its services. AWARE NI currently operates two weekly Support Groups in Derry/Londonderry, providing a safe and welcoming space for individuals to connect, share experiences, and receive support.

Andy Porter, Managing Director at Click Energy, said: “At Click Energy, we have always believed in giving back to the communities we serve. We are now delighted to be supporting the vital work of AWARE NI, who provide invaluable services for mental health and well-being across the region. With the fundraising campaign now officially launched, customers of Click Energy have the opportunity to donate to AWARE each time they visit the online top-up page or when speaking directly to our customer service team. We wish to thank everyone in advance for their support to this very deserving cause.”

Mary O’Kane, Corporate Partnership Officer at AWARE NI, welcomed the partnership: “We are thrilled to have Click Energy’s support. Their commitment to mental health aligns perfectly with our mission to ensure no one has to face depression or anxiety alone. By working together, we can reach even more people who need support, whether through our Support Groups, education programmes, or community outreach initiatives. This partnership will help us continue running our groups in Derry/Londonderry and beyond, providing hope and connection to those in need.”

As part of the partnership, Click Energy will take part in fundraising challenges, awareness campaigns, and staff engagement initiatives, encouraging employees and customers to get involved in supporting mental health.

AWARE NI’s Derry Support Group meets weekly at the charity’s office (2 Crawford Square) on Thursday at 11am and Tuesday at 7pm, providing consistent access for participants seeking support and connection.
