Staycation in style at Da Vinci’s Village with the launch of 7 new self-contained studio apartments.

During the pandemic a demand emerged for self-catering accommodation within a hotel setting and as leader in setting trends Da Vinci’s wanted to be ahead of the industry in introducing these to the Derry market. Launched in June, the suites are luxurious in design and include super king size bed, designer sofa bed, rainfall shower & eco friendly toiletries. Contained within the suite is a kitchenette stocked with all the staycation essentials; fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, sink, cutlery, crockery & glassware.  The large spacious rooms are a great space to relax and with Chromecast as standard guests can enjoy watching their own apps on our large flatscreen TVs.

The Da Vinci’s Village brand is being developed as a wider concept of the hotel complex. In 2018 a £500,000 investment developed the former nightclub into the modern & stylish, Caterina’s Bistro.

With a key focus on farm to table locally sourced produce, it offers a carefully crafted menu of exceptional dishes to tempt all types of customers. Since opening the restaurant has already achieved a host of accolades including Diners Choice awards for Best Overall Experience & Best Ambience in Northern Ireland from Open Table UK.

Following the first lockdown research indicated that the demand for outdoor hospitality was growing and Da Vinci’s, like most hospitality businesses, had to take stock. Development plans had initially been in place to mark the hotel’s 20th anniversary with a refurbishment of the bedrooms but plans had to be diversified. This resulted in the development of the spacious Outdoor Terrace with large decking area, unique bubble pods & heated canopy with a capacity of approx. 100 guests.  As the 2nd lockdown progressed the Da Vincis Village introduced a Coffee Dock, Derry’s newest offering to street food serving yummy treats & speciality hot drinks, the perfect pit stop for snacks to explore the city. The next stage of the evolution is 2 new commercial pods which will be fully fitted for food retail and tenants are currently being sourced. Within the hotel itself, the commitment to refurbish the remainder of all bedrooms has now been confirmed with an investment of £500,000 due to be completed by Q1 in 2022. This will mark a total property investment of £1 million within the last 5 years firmly establishing the Da Vinci’s Village as a landmark site within the city.
