Desmond Motors is encouraging the public to take part in a “Drive for Your Community” event as it partners with Ford to support the lifesaving work of Foyle Search and Rescue.

The initiative will see a variety of Ford vehicles stationed at Foyle Search and Rescue’s Prehen base in Derry~Londonderry on Saturday, 6th June from 9am-5pm, with members of the public invited to take them for a test drive.

Every journey taken directly supports the charity, with Ford donating £30 for each test drive completed (one donation per household), creating a simple but impactful way for the local community to contribute to the organisation’s vital emergency response services.

Foyle Search and Rescue plays a critical role across the North West, providing rapid response and lifesaving assistance along the River Foyle and surrounding areas. The upcoming event offers an opportunity for the public to engage with the charity while helping to generate essential funding.

In addition to supporting a worthwhile cause, Desmond Motors will also offer a £500 discount on any new Ford vehicle purchased on the day.
