Duality Healthcare confirms the successful launch of its landmark partnership with Gordons Chemists, bringing enhanced virtual and face to face GP services to communities across Northern Ireland. The partnership represents a major step forward in improving access to high-quality, flexible healthcare across the province.

This collaboration — the first of its kind between a pharmacy chain and a private healthcare provider in Northern Ireland — has seen the opening of a Duality GP clinic within Gordons Chemists on Waterloo Place in Derry/Londonderry, now fully operational and offering a comprehensive range of face to face GP services.

Alongside this, Duality has launched virtual GP hubs within selected Gordons Chemists locations in Kilkeel, Lisburn, Enniskillen and Rathcoole, marking the first phase of a province-wide rollout of Duality virtual GP hubs across the Gordons estate. These hubs enable virtual consultations with Duality clinicians, with prescriptions made instantly available for collection at the Gordons Chemists counter.

Through this partnership, Duality’s experienced GP team now works across Gordons Chemists locations to deliver integrated medical services, offering patients the convenience of same day appointments, virtual consultations, and direct referral pathways. By combining the strengths of both organisations, patients and communities benefit from a seamless, locally accessible healthcare service designed around modern needs.

The expansion further strengthens Duality Healthcare’s growing presence across Northern Ireland, adding to its clinics in Newry, Omagh, Ballymena and now Derry/Londonderry. These openings form part of a multi million pound investment programme, with additional locations planned throughout 2026.

John McEvoy, CEO of Duality Healthcare, said:

“We are delighted to be working alongside Gordons Chemists to bring our hybrid healthcare model to more patients than ever before. This partnership brings private healthcare closer to home, expanding access to GP and specialist services in areas where access can be limited. It marks a major step in bridging community pharmacy and primary care through innovation and collaboration, and supports our mission to deliver accessible, high quality and affordable healthcare across Northern Ireland.”

John Kernohan, CEO of Gordons Chemists, added:

“Partnering with Duality Healthcare enables us to further strengthen our commitment to community wellbeing. By combining our pharmacy expertise with Duality’s innovative GP services, we are delivering a connected and comprehensive healthcare experience that reduces barriers to care, shortens waiting times, and ensures individuals and families receive the support they need, when they need it.”
