For nearly three decades the UN hasbeen bringing together almost every country on earth for global climate summits – called COPs, ‘Conference of the Parties’. In that time climate change has gone from being a fringe issue to a global priority.

This year will be the 26th annual summit – giving it the name COP26. With the UK as President, COP26 takes place in Glasgow in early November.

In the light of COP26 negotiations, our Annual Energy Conference will consider the key issues for NI’s new Energy Strategy and explains how the transition to net zero can benefit businesses in the North West, the opportunities and pitfalls.

We are privileged to hear first hand about the new Energy Strategy and how it will impact the North West from our keynote speaker, Thomas Byrne, Director of Energy Strategy at the Department forthe Economy.

Other speakers include:

David McGowan, SONI

Leo Strawbridge, DCSDC

Jennifer McKeever, Airporter

Brett Ross, RiverRidge

Sinead Hawkins, NWRC
