Event Overview

The Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s summer statement includes plans to protect jobs, help younger workers and encourage spending with measures such as a VAT cut for leisure activities and a restaurant voucher scheme.

As the UK enters the second phase in its recovery, the Chancellor’s ”Plan for Jobs” is designed to support jobs by focussing on skills and young people, create jobs with investment in shovel-ready projects and greening our infrastructure, and protect jobs through a VAT cut for the hospitality sector and a landmark Eat Out to Help Out discount scheme for diners.

Find out what Ciaran O’Neill of Bishops Gate Hotel and Christy Doherty of Station B&B think of the Chancellor’s plan and how it will impact on our local economy as well as expert advice on the JRSbonus scheme and flexi-furlough from Julie Pollock of ConsultHR.

Paul Clancy, CEO, Londonderry Chamber of Commerce will moderate this session and there will be an opportunity to put your own question to the panel.
