This may m ean anything from a simple refurb to bringing back furloughed employees in to a changed workplace\, potential re-structuring and even a total re-thin k of business models.\n\nMany companies in the North West are consideringh ow to innovate and re-purpose their operations and skillsets to adapt toth e “new normal”.\n\nWe will hear from Chamber members Kieran Kennedy\, Managing Director of O’Neills and James Huey\, Founder of the Walled Cit y Brewery. As the outbreak of the pandemic hit here Kieran quickly adopted a strategy to re-purpose sports clothing production lines to produce scru bs for the NHS frontline. He is managing director of O’Neills Irish International Sports Company Limited since 1988. Kieran is also chairman of Strabane Tra ining Services and chairman of Strabane BID (Business Improvement District 0\, both voluntary positions. In 2019 Kieran was awarded the Global Irelan d Award for service to Irish enterprise by the Consulate General in Boston .\n\nJames Huey\n\nJames is an ex Foyle College and a Trinity College Dubl in graduate who joined Guinness as a brewer in 2002\, finishingin Dundalk Brewery in 2013 as Production Manager.\n\nReturning to Derry\,he set up th e Walled City Brewery\, the first brewery-restaurant in N.Ireland as the f irst commercial tenant of Ebrington Square.\n\nThe WCB has won multiple aw ards since reopening including the Best Gastropub in Ireland at the 2018 R AI Awards\, and then as Georgina Campbell's Most Atmospheric Restaurant in Ireland in 2019. It closed its doors on 15th March 2020 in light of the C OVID-19 pandemic.\n\n \n\nJulie Pollock\n\nJulie Pollock is the Owner of Consult HR who specialise in providing human resources and employment supp ort to a wide range of employers throughout Northern Ireland.  Julie’s expertise lies within the high risk end of people management and she has s pecialised in providing expert HR advice to SME’s in areas such as: Redu ndancy\, investigations\, dismissals\, bullying and harassment\, grievance s\, contracts of employment\, TUPE and more recently theJob Retention Sche me and Furloughing staff.\n\nDawn McLaughlin\n\nDawn McLaughlin is the Vic e President of the Londonderry Chamber of Commerce.
