Dementia Awareness Business Breakfast

When

20 May 2026
08:30 - 10:00

Event Type

Every day, people living with dementia walk into our shops, businesses and offices or open their doors to our tradespeople and service providers— sometimes unsure, sometimes overwhelmed, but always deserving of dignity and understanding.

On Wednesday 20th May, we’re inviting Chamber Members to join us at St. Columb’s Park House for a Dementia Awareness Business Breakfast, hosted by Home Instead Foyle & Erne in support of the Chamber of Commerce President’s Charity, DEEDS.

Over breakfast, we’ll explore simple, powerful ways to make your business more dementia‑aware, including how to:

  • Recognise when a customer may be living with dementia
  • Communicate with confidence, patience and compassion
  • Support someone while protecting their dignity
  • Create a more inclusive, welcoming environment for every visitor

If your business is customer‑facing, if dementia has touched your family, or if you simply want to help build a more understanding community, this morning is for you.

Suggested donation: £10 — all proceeds to DEEDS.
Let’s learn together, support each other and make our city more dementia‑aware.
