Ignorance is no excuse, and recent years haveseen a rise in allegations of breaches from creditors, employees and theauthorities. Resolving these legal issues is expensive and damaging to your reputation, credit and business.

All employers in NI have a legal duty to:

* ensure that workplaces are safe,

* eliminate or mitigate health and safety risks;

* maintain appropriate training, supervisionand information for employees.

These legal duties are monitored by statutory agencies with potentially severe penalties for non-compliance.

Directors of companies can have personal liability where there are breachesof health and safety law. This workshop is designed to assist directors to know their legal duties and provide commercially sensible advice on how to best maintain compliance in this area.
