DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe Londonderry Chamber of Commerce in partnership with EUR
 ES Cross Border Partnership will host a breakfast seminar on tax and socia
 l security implications for cross-border workers and employers.\n\nThis se
 minar serves as an introduction to the free services offered by EURES to h
 elp establish and strengthen networks between EURES advisers and employers
 .\n\nThis seminar will also provide cross border workers and employers wit
 h information on social security and tax issues such as redundancy payment
 s\, pension lump sums\, tax relief on pension contributions\, tax requirem
 ents for cross border workers\, social insurance benefits and pensions ina
  cross-border situation.\n\nEURES Objectives and Approach \n\nTo offer thr
 ough EURES and partner organisations\, client services to actual and poten
 tial frontier workers by providing information and advice on job vacancies
  and job applications as well as on living and working conditions and othe
 r relevant information related to the labour market in the cross-border re
 gion\, such as security\, taxation and labour law.\n\nTo provide informati
 on and advice to employers on recruiting workers from bordering member sta
 tes\, on how to tap on the potential skills pool in the cross-border regio
 n\, on how to draft and advertise job vacancies and job applications forth
 e cross-border labour market and on how to develop a welcoming culture and
  integration policy for workers from the cross-border region.\n\nThis free
  event is open to all cross border workers and employers.\n\nFunded by EUR

 donderry Chamber of Commerce and EURES Adviser\n\nPaul Clancy qualified as
  an Electrical Engineer BSc Elec Hons from Trinity College Dublin and has 
 Diplomas in both Manufacturing and Human Resource Management with the Iris
 h Management Institute (IMI).\n\nHe has held a number of senior management
  roles withing the Agri\, Food\, Drinks and Manufacturing Industries withi
 n Ireland\, UK and Scandinavia.\n\nPaul has held Sales Director\, Marketin
 g and Managing Director roles and most recently was the MD of Baxi Ireland
  (Part of BDR Thermea).\n\nAs CEO of the Londonderry Chamber of Commerce\,
  Paul is looking forward to leading this organisation through what aresome
  very challenging times.\n\n \n\n\n\nOrla Rafferty\, Orla Rafferty Consul
 ting\n\nOrla Rafferty\, from Orla Rafferty Consulting\, providesbespoke co
 nsulting and coaching services\, tailored to meet business\, sector\, and 
 individual needs.\n\nOrla Rafferty is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Ins
 titute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)\, and over 24 years HR Manageme
 nt experience having worked across multiple industries and sectors. In 201
 3\, she set up her own consulting business.\n\nHer specialisms include HR\
 , business strategy\, leadership\, motivating self and others\,employee re
 lations\, workplace conflict\, employee\n\ninvestigations and mediation. O
 ver the years she has gained working knowledge and experience  of employe
 e relations within US\, Poland\, UK and Ireland. She has vast experience i
 n company restructuring\, change management and dealing with challenging 
 situations and times.\n\n \n\n\n\nRose Tierney\, Tierney Tax Consultancy\
 n\nRose Tierney is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser qualif
 ied to practice in both the UK and Ireland. After many years in practice i
 n London and Dublin she set up Tierney Tax Consultancy. Havingadvised busi
 nesses from large multinationals to sole trader start-ups Rose now uses th
 at wealth of experience in assisting individuals and businesses on tax mat
 ters arising in both jurisdictions.\n\nTierney Tax Consultancy also operat
 es as an independent tax adviser for professional accountancyand legal fir
 ms enhancing the services that they can provide to their ownclients.
