NI Budget 2022-2025 Engagement Session with Finance Minister Conor Murphy MLA

In December 2021, the Northern Ireland Executive published its Draft Budget for 2022-2025. The first multi-year budget since 2011, the new three-budget will manage around £48bn in public funds. Due tothe pandemic, however, departmental funding is more squeezed than ever, with every department other than Health facing real-term cuts.

Finance Minister Conor Murphy MLA will join Chamber members virtually to provide an update on what the new three-year Budget process will mean for Northern Ireland and our economy.

Join Chamber for a webinar to hear directly from the Finance Minister and the Department of Finance’s Head of Central Expenditure Jeff McGuinness and Stephen Cross about preparations for Budget 2022 – 2025.

The Minister had hoped to be in a position to discuss in more detail the draft allocations and the opportunities this multi-year budget presented for long-term planning. However, in the absence of an Executive it will not be possible to agree a final Budget for 2022-25.

The Finance Minister is keen to continue engaging with industry and would welcome the opportunity to provide an update on the mechanisms in place which will allow departments to continue spending to maintain public services. This session will also be an opportunity to hear about the important work the Department of Finance is continuing to deliver.

This event will also include a question-and-answer session and provide an opportunity toshare the priorities which are important to your organisation directly with the Minister.
