DESCRIPTION:The Annual President’s Lunch is being held at the City Hotelo
 n Thursday 03 March 2022. The popular annual President’s Lunch event is 
 a celebration of business and leadership in the North West.\n\nAttracting 
 an audience of 200+ guests comprising of representatives from the business
 \, political\, educational\, and social life of the region\, this event is
  one of the highlights in our calendar.\n\nThis year's President's Lunchis
  kindly sponsored by:\n\n\n\nand the President's chosen charity is\n\n\n\n
  \n\nWe are delighted to announce that we will be joined by Claire McColl
 um from the BBC\, who will act as master of ceremonies and introduce our k
 eynote speaker\, a senior Government figure.\n\nThe theme of our Lunch eve
 nt is Sharing Success in the North West and we look forward to hearing our
  keynote speaker's perspective.\n\n \n\n\n\nClaire McCollum has been a fa
 miliar face on our screens for over 20 years. She has presented on BBC Nor
 thern Ireland since 2009 following almost a decade with UTV Sport. In the 
 last 13 years Claire has presented high profile\, live television events f
 or BBC NI which include\; Proms in the Park\, Children in Need\, the openi
 ng ceremony of the World Police and Fire Games\, the Olympic Flame arrivin
 g at Belfast City Hall\, The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race and The Ta
 ll Ships visit to Belfast.\n\nEight years ago she made the move to network
  television\, presenting BBC One's Songs of Praise and covering stories fo
 r Sunday Morning Live. Filming has taken her from Yorkshire to Somerset\, 
 the far north coast of Scotland to Cambridge and from Coventry to Kenya.\n
 \nBest known to audiences in Northern Ireland\, Claire got her broadcastin
 g break with local radio station Downtown in 1999 (where she famously prop
 osed to her boyfriend Alastair live on air after reading the 8 o'clock new
 s on Leap Year\, 2000) before moving to the world of television where she 
 won the IPR Newcomer of the Year Award in 2001.\n\nClaire hasa Postgraduat
 e Diploma in Radio Journalism from LCP in London.\n\nMarriedwith two young
  children she loves cooking\, travel and running in her spare time\n\n \n
