Speakers Bio

Anna Doherty

Anna was appointed Chief Executive of the Londonderry Chamberin March 2022.

Anna re-joined the Chamber team in February 2020 and worked closely with outgoing CEO, Paul Clancy, to support and inform members throughout the Covid pandemic. She previously worked with Chamber as Events Manager from April 2013 to July 2015 and spent the intervening years working in various membership, trade and awarding bodies, including BritishAmerican Business, the American Chamber in London.

Prior to 2013 Anna ran her own food business producing delicious ready-made cooking saucesfor sale throughout Donegal and owned the award-winning Rusty Nail Pub and Restaurant in Clonmany for some years with her husband.  She also had sales and marketing roles in a number of Inishowen hotels.

  

 

Nigel Collins, Technical Lead – Cyber and Technology, McLarens

Recognised within the industry as a leader in the handling of cyber and technology losses, Nigel Collins has a wealth of expertise, drawn from more than 30 years of experience, including senior management roles atnational and global loss adjusting firms.

Nigel joined McLarens as Technical Lead for Cyber and Technology in February 2021. He has taken responsibility for the development and strategic growth of the division, driving operational and technical activity, in addition to further building UK and global teams of specialist adjusters.

Nigel will discuss cyber security insurance and why it must play a vital role in your business planningto help protect you from the growing threat of cybercrime.

 

Brian McCabe – Global IT Manager at Euro Auctions

Brian McCabe has been the Global IT Manager at Euro Auctions for almost 15 years, leading the company’s design, development and implementation of IT solutions.

During that time, Euro Auctions has experienced rapid growth, with Brianresponsible for facilitating £1.3 billion of worldwide online auction sales through the company’s online bidding service. He also ensured the company’s auction services continued to operate as usual during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Brian is responsible for delivering the company’s overall IT strategy, ensuring the business’s future needs are met and sustainable.

Brian is passionate about the IT industry, having over 20 years of experience in senior IT management roles.

 

Seán McDermott, CEO, LoughTec

Seán McDermott is the CEO and co-founder of LoughTec, an IT infrastructure company specialising in managed IT provision, remote working software and cybersecurity solutions.

Founded in 2006, Seán is responsible for overseeing LoughTec’s strategic growth across EMEA andits ongoing expansion into emerging markets.

Under Seán’s guidance, the company has experienced a surge in growth in recent years, onboarding several high profile clients from the banking, education, security, pharma and agri-food sectors.

Seán is passionate about the cyber landscape and educating clients. He will present the cyber threats he and LoughTec are seeing on a daily basis that all businesses need to be aware of, as well as industry examples of how cyber threats can have a catastrophic effect on businesses.
