Londonderry Chamber’s prestigious President’s Annual Dinner will return this autumn on 4 October at the Everglades Hotel. Always a highlight in the North West’s business and social calendar, this year’s event is sponsored by FinTrU, the client lifecycle management solutions experts whose North West base in Patrick Street in the heart of Derry City is a source of significant employment in our region.

With a keynote speaker to be announced at a later date, guests will be delighted by the entertainment on the night, provided by prominent local comedian and actor Diona Doherty of Derry Girls, Soft Border Patrol, and The Blame Game fame. A delicious four-course meal will be served in the elegant surroundings of the Everglades Hotel.

The President’s Annual Dinner will be the highpoint of the presidency of Greg McCann, Derry Chamber’s 81st President and Executive Director and Site Head of FinTrU North West. The theme of Greg’s presidency has been Place and he has sought to emphasise the making of place within Derry and the North West throughout his year as President, as was strongly conveyed at this year’s President’s Annual Lunch.

Greg McCann

The theme of place has centred around Derry and the North West’s unique position as a cross-border location and the potential the region has to be a net contributor to the economy of Northern Ireland. As he marks his presidency at the Dinner, Greg will once again outline his belief that the North West possesses the potential to be a regional economic powerhouse and requires long-term planning to make this a reality.

Those looking to secure their place are advised to act early to avoid disappointment. We look forward to seeing members on the night and having a chance to toast a successful year in the North West!
