A native of St Johnston Co Donegal, Andrew returned to the North West following many years studying, travelling, living and working abroad in Edinburgh, London, Sri Lanka and New Zealand amongst others. Andrew has always had a vested interest in his local communities of Donegal, Derry, and the wider North-West region as well as across both Ireland and Northern Ireland. He is ambitious with a focus on people and growth and has an active interest in supporting the development and prosperity of the North-West region.

Andrew became Managing Director at Fleming Engineering in 2007, guiding the company through many challenges during the economic downturn as part of an excellently resourceful and determined team. Since then, he has overseen sustained growth leading to several acquisitions including BES Solutions, Limavady Roller Doors and NorWest Roofing resulting in the formation of the FNW Group. Andrew’s objectives for FNW Group are ambitious with a focus on people and growth ensuring that employees are valued, supported and rewarded in a business model that compliments its parts.

 
He has been involved in sport since a very young age with a particular interest in cricket, rugby and golf and has maintained connections to sport representing on local, regional, and national committees and supporting financially through Fleming Engineering Ltd. Andrew currently acts as Chair of the Game Development and Growth Committee at Cricket Ireland having previously served at Board level.
 
In 2017, Andrew joined the Board of Londonderry Chamber of Commerce and in 2023 became the organisations Vice-President. He became the Chamber President for 2024 – 2025 adopting the mantra of ‘Ambitious Regional Collaboration’ as the theme of his presidency.
