Please see information in relation to the forthcoming Christmas line closures on the NI Railways network, which will be in effect from Sunday 27th December – Sunday 3rd January inclusive.

No NI Railways services will operate on the Bangor Line at all during that period, and services on the Larne and Derry~Londonderry Lines will terminate at and depart from Yorkgate.

Bus substitution services will be in place on the Bangor Line and between Yorkgate, Lanyon Place and Great Victoria Street.

Valid NI Railways tickets will be accepted on bus substitution services on the Bangor Line and on scheduled Ulsterbus services between Bangor and Belfast.

Please note that Great Victoria Street Train Station will also be closed during this period, and all journeys on the Portadown Line will terminate at and depart from Lanyon Place.

More information can be found online at www.translink.co.uk/catr

Passengers are strongly advised to plan their journey in advance, as bus substitutions may differ from usual NI Railways operating times.  This can be done online via www.translink.co.uk or via our app.

Please be advised that face coverings are mandatory on all Translink services, except in the case of certain exemptions.  A no change policy is in place, so the use of contactless means of payment is encouraged wherever possible.  Because of ongoing social distancing requirements, please be aware that buses and trains are carrying fewer people than would normally be the case.
